Do You Like Reading or Not and Why?

I asked people online whether or not they liked reading and why or why not.  Here are their answers:

love my science fiction. I reread my favorites often. I love the smell of new books too. Another great section is mythology and children's books.

Why? Because the worlds in the books are amazing - now reality is also, but there is no space travel yet, nor wizards and dark elves. So leaving reality for a time helps enjoy my reality. Also books are great bonds between my son and I. And conversation starters. People that read are good listeners and thinkers - so I usually get great help in my life from readers.
Children books provide great lessons and opportunities to talk to ones children about life and morals and important issues.

I  love reading.I was read to from the time I was small and used to go to the libraries.I also read a lot because I find that it gives me knowledge whether its good or bad.

My reading time started when my mom read to me as a baby...Today I have a passion for reading and for me it's addicting but it is better to be addicted to reading than anything else!!
I love reading, although recently I've spent more time reading questions here and in video games than in an actual book. I love the entertainment, styles of writing, and learning aspect of it.

More Thoughts on Reading

Reading has always been my favorite pastime; recently I've also become interested in writing.

Yes, I like to read to attain more knowledge and information about this universe.

I love to read. And the reason is simple - I love to learn.

Yes! Because it is always nice to explore different worlds, different people's lives.

I love to read. I don't know why; I've just been addicted to books ever since I learned to read.

Yes because i like to learn and i want to do well in life (college etc...).

I love to read.

I like reading STAR TREK books & THE BIBLE :).

Most students I talked to love to read, but there were those few, though, who were not so enthralled. Usually, I found, these students liked sports, but then when asked, some of them did admit they liked stories, or at least comic books or magazines or some type of literature.
